Additions + Renovations

Demand for quality homes in the Boston Region is high. Supply is low. It is a seller's market. Should a buyer or their broker find a property listed in the right community, it likely has the wrong house sitting on it.

Assuming a home buyer lacks the bandwidth to purchase and tear down houses, there are two other options to consider:

  • Modify your current home to meet your needs, or

  • Buy the imperfect home in the perfect community and modify that one.

Here is an example of a successful home renovation in Boston. An important phase of the project was excavating the basement to convert undervalued square footage into high-value living space with large screen entertaining, wet bar, guest bath and walk out access to a new outdoor terrace and private parking in the South End Neighborhood.

We welcome conversations with clients in the early stage of considering a renovation or addition. The process for any successful project begins by getting to know the clients, their needs, and the property under consideration. We follow this by general feasibility and zoning studies before launching into the design development phase.
